I'm trying to convert PAL DVD to NTSC DVD some way other than the really long, time-consuming way. Can I route the output of my PAL DVD player into my capture device, capture in MPEG, and then re-author the DVD in NTSC? What if I capture avi instead of mpeg - could I then re-encode in NTSC format?
Another question: I was thinking of using ProCoder for the conversion, but Procoder doesn't take VOB files as input. Does this mean I have to demux every single VOB file, and convert each one separately using Procoder? Anyone know how to use Procoder to convert a PAL DVD?
