  1. I'm using Ulead DVD Workshop v1.3

error message: Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames

I've burn a few projects before with no problems.

I have a few mpg files that I'm adding to a project. 5 of the files, have 2 chapters each. The rest of the files all are just the file itself. When I play on Windows Media player the time is 1:37 min.

I've set up 3 menus. Menu 1: has 3 links to play, video selection, and song selection. Menu 2: has links to play all, home, or the seperate video files which is 10 seperate links. Menu 3: has play all, home, and seperate video selection links which is 13 links.

Now when I play in the preview, everything works fine. Including my music in the background of the menus.

Here is where my problem comes in.....

I get the error message Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames.

Does anyone have this problem? Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Eric

  3. Yes they are 29.97 fps....

Let me explain what the whole thing looks like....

The first menu comes up with custom background image and music. At the bottom of the page you have 3 choices. 1 is Play All which is link to the first video.

2 is concert selections which is linked to menu 2. On menu 2 you have play all which is linked to the first video of the concert. You also have home which is linked back to the original menu. The last thing you have is 10 text boxes that link to the seperate chapters. (songs from the show) The whole shows is made up of 5 Mpeg 2 files at 29.97. Each of these Mpeg files has 2 chapters.

Choice 3 from the first menu is video selction which is linked to menu 3. On menu 3 you have play all videos which is linked to video 6, and home which is linked to menu 1. On this screen you also have 13 text boxes linked to the different videos files at 29.97fps.

The whole thing on Windows media is only 1 hour and 37 min. When i try to burn the disc I set it at 120min. I've also tried the 90min option with the same results. It is only using 1.3g of the 4.4g allowed.

I've read somewhere that people were deleting chapters. But that does me no good since I want to keep the actual music videos as seperate chapters.

    I hope this made sense.....

    Thanks,
    Eric

  5. I think the point of this method is to get a svcd movie on a dvd-r keeping the quality in tackt...so much for spelling...but I think the error lies in the svcd origin and how it was encoded in the first place...another point is that the ulead software will convert a ntsc title MUCH quicker than a pal.

    WE still need HELP!!!

This message often appears when one is attempting to use SOURCE material that was originally shot on film.

Is it possible your material was originally shot on film?

  7. I had that problem last time, I just slowly started taking out chapters, eventually it worked for me, because I didn't want to change my source material. Must also be something with my source too, because I've never had this problem before.
