  1. Ive captured some video from my DV and the final output quality is excellent, however, it is a 33MB mpeg. I captured using Ulead Videostudio and was wondering if there is a way to compress it (losing quality in the process is understood) so that I can email it.
    Thanks!

You mean a file smaller than 1mb? Even without knowing how long your movie is(which would help), I really doubt you could create a small enough file to e-mail. You might want to look into setting up a FTP or web server so someone can download the file directly from you.

  3. teegee's advice is best, imho...

another slower, clunkier way would be to take your 33mb file and split/zip with something like winrar into a series of 1 or 2 mb sized files - and then send a series of emails with the split files attached. The reciever would also have to have the winrar utility to put the files back together...

CD mailers go about twenty-five cents (bulk) and run you about 60 cents to mail them in the US.

Check out WWW File Share. It's much simpler than FTP and only takes a minute to set up, plus the people who download from you can use any web browser instead of an FTP client. It's not freeware, but it's free for 30 days.
