A recent Windows update provided a patch for the following issue;
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=834489
basically once you install this update you cant go to a url like;
http://hordong:woody@somesexsite.com/members
without getting an 'invalid syntax error'
the following fix was provided by CJPC @ ps2ownz.com (#ps2ownz on efnet)
http://jeexlabs.com/fix.zip
(you dont have to restart after applying the registry fix)
disclaimer: backup your registry before you do anything. blah blah blah the usual stuff..
