is there a simple program that gets rid of a channel logo that sits in the corner of a screen on my VHS captures of a TV show so that i can burn onto a DVD?

I think the best one is Delogo which is a Virtual Dub filter

edit" It's not real simple at first , but you get used to it

  3. Is it true that you can only use delogo on the computer, as opposed to somehow using it on your DVD recorder itself? (I'm a newbie).

Yes. Actually it does not remove the logo it just covers it with a ....transparent ghost effect(for lack of a better description). Sorta like the digitized pixelation used for cencoring incidents like Janet Jacksons wonderful and oh so perky for an almost 40 year old lady's tata. But I digress
