no menu cursor

I have burned 2 dvd's so far with the reauthor option cutting out the extra parts and both dvd's are missing the menu cursor.I have to scroll/fast foward threw all the menus to finally get to the menu. What am I doing wrong?

If you read the documentation that comes with DVD Shrink you will see that menus are not supported in reauthor mode. All it does is keep the items you place there and store them as separate tracks. All buttons and commands are lost. If you want the menus intact you will have to use the full backup mode.

If you are trying to remove the extras then you need to do that first, and then load the movie into DVD Shrink and process it in full backup mode to further compress it. The guides to your left explain this process fully.
