Currently, my PC is not showing the menu cursor or any subtitles at all when playing a DVD, on any player I have.

How do I get them back?

You could try VLC. It should be able to display subs on it's own. Or you might install VSFilter / DirectVobSub to enable subs for your other players.

No, it worked just yesterday, both Media Player Classic and GOM Player showed the menu cursor and DVD subtitles, but now they don't work anymore. And VLC Media Player is what I NEVER go for. Any other ideas?

Then something has disabled/turned off your subtitle display. I don't know if those two players use VSFilter / DirectVobSub for sub display, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Actually, one of my codecs has expired. Does anyone know which one?

You could try Filmerit or DXman to check on your installed codecs. Or Gspot or MediaInfo will tell you if a codec is installed and working. Just drop in a video file that doesn't display.

I think I know why they were disabled. I don't have a separate DVD player on it. The problem's solved now, thanks.
