I got a .mov file which I converted with eovideo to an avi file (DivX4 compression) The avi file is 2.49.56 long. Then I converted the said avi file to a dvd mpg file using TMPGenc. I used a DVD template which I have used for a while now to do all my dvd's.
The avi file in avicodec is:
File: 1.0 GB (1.0 GB), duration: 2:49:56, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 35 %
Video : 168 MB, 138 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 240*180 (4:3), DIV3 = DivX v3MPEG-4 (Low-Motion), Supported
Audio : 857 MB, 705 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 1 channels, 0x1 = PCM, Supported
After TMPGenc conversion, the mpg file in avicodec is:
File:4.87 GB (3.95 MB), duration: 0:00:04, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality:90 %
Video :3.83 MB, 8000 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 720*576 (4:3), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
Audio : 125 KB, 256 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported
But in WMP the same mpg is 2hrs 49 minutes with audio from beginning to end.
Also, the picture format? is letterbox style., but I selected 'Full screen' in TMPGenc settings.
I want to author this mpg and burn it to a dvd, but I am wary that it may look crappy on my 16:9 TV.
Any ideas please?
Thanks
