M2v files are the video part of mpg2 files,do the files you have got sound cause they might be misnamed?
-
they have sounds, yes.
i tried to open them with tmpeg enc but it gives me an 'unsupported file' error. -
Rename to mpg.
Author to DVD
Hopefully it's up to DVD specs.
You could try mpegproperties to make sure it is...

You need to author them using something like TMPGenc DVD Author. This will accept m2v files and will create a VIDEO_TS file which you can burn to a DVD-R with something like Nero.
You can also easily add menus etc.
Hope this helps. -
thanks.
actually i just got a call from a friend who told me to try TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator from http://www.pegasys-inc.com (trial version). that's what i did and it works EXCELLENT !!
so, anyone who had the same problem - try this, it's great !
and a big THANK YOU to everyone who responded !!!!
