Hi,
I'm thinking about purchasing a flatbed scanner to scan photos for video slide shows. What types of specs do I need to consider? For example, where does DPI fit into viewing photos on a TV (whether it be a 32 inch or projected onto a huge screen)? How will a 2400x4800 DPI scanner limit me? What other specs should I consider?
I plan to scan mostly 3x5 and 4x6 color photos.
Thanks,
Tommy

2400 x 4800 will limit your time and disk space.
The whole video screen is 720 x 480 or less. Think about it -
Unless you intend on doing some serious digital photo editing, then probably the cheapest scanner you can find would work just fine for DVD slideshows.

However I think I'd go higher because it will get resized -
and oversampling helps there
try 300 x 300
