  1. Hi

I have used SVCD2DVD on a few DVD players with no problems. However I have justed upgraded my DVD player to a Jamo DVR50 and when going back and playing the DVDs I have created I cannot get sound to play on any of them.

Is there a common problem that anyone has encountered that may fix this or all these DVDs now useless on this DVD player?

    Many thanks

Are the dvds PAL or NTSC? Also is the sound AC3 or Mpeg audio?

  3. DVD's are NTSC and the audio is MPEG.

I have been trying to fix it using settings on my DVD player but still not success.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I can't believe nobody else has never had the same problem.

With NTSC the dvd specification requires that at least one audio track be AC-3 (or rather not mpa), the other audio tracks can be mpa. Most players ignore this and are happy to play NTSC dvds with just mpa. Some players, however, are more strict in enforcing the dvd spec and so will have issues with NTSC/MPA only DVDs. I suspect your new player is one. Can you try with AC-3?
