Hello all,
My Pioneer 343 played pal svcd's with no problem until a had a region hack made to it. Now the pioneer intro screen and menus are in black and white as well as svcd's. My tv cannot take the NTSC signal that the player seems to be sending out. I gather that since the 343 cannot send out the raw rgb signal, then a non-ntsc tv cannot be made to work with any combination of cables.
Any advice?. Should I revert to the original firmware and dump my region 1 movies, I will prioritize svcd's in pal to ntsc region 1 movies.
Thanks
Anders

try switching your player from auto to pal
if not , go and buy a multi system tv

Thanks,
You should have said RTFM (Read The ******* Manual).
It said quite clearly what to do, and I did not look until now. Both my svcd's and my region 1 movies work just fine.
My only excuse is that it working before the region hack, but this setting must have been erased with the upgrade.
Thanks for the advice.
Anders
