    Hi, i am writing this here because i could find another place to write it...

    whenever i play any dvd on ""Inter video WinDVD"" the video shows washed, it does not dark as it should, it looks white washed...

    but on Windows media player works fine, and divx videos work fine in windows media...


    but in VLC player, the video looks washed too...


    any recommendations???

    These are original packaged DVD or authored?

    Also, what is your video card?

    Do the levels look better on the PC monitor?

    You probably need to adjust the 'overlay' settings. You can usually find them at Display Properties -> Settings ->Advanced. At least that's where they are on my ATI. You can also try turning 'Acceleration' or 'Overlay' (or whatever a given player calls it) off, forcing normal output.
