    I have WinDVD5 installed, it plays the DVD but there is no sound.
    Sound works when I play .mpg or CD Audio but nothing with a DVD movie.
    What can I do to fix this??? I've looked everywhere I can think of.

    Hi Excavator,

    Any replies yet ?
    I have exactly the same problem with WinDVD 5 platinum. It could be that it has something to do with the codecs. Before, I had WinDVD 4 installed and it played ok.

    I have the exact same problem. I left windvd4 installed, and it still plays sound, but no amount of futzing with various audio settings brings up the audio in windvd5. Anybody have any insight into this ? There's nothing covering this on Intervideo's website...

    btw-running w2k on an amd xp2100 box w/onboard sound from asus a7v333 mobo, if it matters.
