I have been struggliing with a capture issue using Pinnacle Studio 8. I am getting Audio sync issues after about an hour and a half capturing from my Sony TRV27.
So I downloaded Scenalyzer Live to see if I could get a good result with it.
The question:
When I capture Type 2 DV from my camcorder using Scenalyzer I notice that I get vertical lines that are motion dependant. This means as long as there is not a lot of movement it looks fine...no lines. but as soon as someone moves suddenly I can see vertical lines in the avi that was captured. I did not get this capturing with Studio.
As a test I encoded the clips to MPEG2 and played them on my TV. Both the studio capture and the Scenalyzer looked fine.
The question is really: If I played the Scenalyzer clip on a HDTV (which I do not have) Would it still look fine or would the vertical lines show up like they do on my PC at 1024x768?
I just want to protect the video for when I can afford a HDTV.
Is there a setting I'm missing or something? Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

What do you use to play those files ? I believe it is just interlacing what you see. Sometimes you can see it, but it depends on program used to play file. Try using same program for playback to see if it is realy present only in one file and not the other. If it is interlacing, then don't worry about it
