You could use VDubMod and save the audio as WAV and re-encode at the legal sample rate for DVD

Virtualdub supports mpeg1 so it should work. Are you opening the .dat files directly from the vcd disc? If so try copy to mpg,

no I mean it is a mpg file, and it says this file is not common or unsupported
-
Maybe it's mpeg-2(not VCD), in which case try Virtualdub MPEG2.
-
It doesnt open in that either here is the file name of it WWF.Survivor.Series.1987.VCD.VHSRip.CD1.mpg
it just wont open that or the CD2 verison of it and its really frustating. -
yes it works perfectly when they play on my pc i'm not really sure how to do all that stuff you said isnt there like any other audio coding program i can use that will do it? I'm sorry i'm a newbie
-
Don't apologize! I was a newbie once too. To de-multiplex in TMPGEnc, go to the file menu and select MPEG Tools. Click on the "Simple De-multiplex" tab and choose your mpeg, then hit "Run".
If the process works, download FFMPEG. Once you have it open select your mp2 as the source, change the format slider to mp2, make sure the sampling rate says 48000, then hit convert. Make sure you name it something like "new.mp2" so you don't get the new and old mixed up.
Now go back to TMPGEnc MPEG Tools and select "Simple Multiplex". Choose the m1v file from when you de-multiplexed before as your video source, new.mp2 as the audio source and hit "Run". Name it "New" like before. Try burning that bad boy to DVD, cross your fingers and see what happens. -
Could you be more specific with your question? I'm not sure what you're asking.
-
when I was doing the single multiplex it asked mpeg1 or mpeg 2 (it was in a dropdown box) I did mpeg1 and I used TMPEG DVD Author and made the dvd and i then burned it with that and it is still out of sync I am not getting really frustated lol
oh is there anyway to convert Divx files to DVD really easly? -
Well, sorry things didn't work out with your VCD to DVD. As for converting Divx to DVD, you should know by now that there are rarely any easy solutions. :P
Open your AVI in Virtualdub and select "Full Processing Mode" on the audio menu. Then "Save WAV" on the file menu. Open TMPGEnc and use the Project Wizard. Use the AVI as the video source and the wav as your audio source. Make sure you set it to output in seperate audio and video streams so you can author more easily. -
I woudl really like to know whats wrong with these vcd mpeg's I really want to make them into a dvd
