  1. Sorry - this is my first time posting and i already posted this in the newbie section but I hope its okay i post twice in dif. places!

    Here is my post:

I'm new to the forum and i'm looking for a little bit of help with my burner. I used to never have trouble with my brothers burner that i borrowed for a few months - he had a DVD-r and now I have a TDK inkiDVD+/-R/RW. I used dvdshrink and burnatonce for software and it worked everytime. Now, i tried to use the same products and my burner stops after about 5 min. of burning and says it's done! So, I got DVD X-Copy Express Platinum. It basically does the same thing. I can rip the DVD with DVD X-Copy and then it asks to insert a blank DVD and continues to burn for 5 min and says its done and there's a disc error. I am burning with a generic media of DVD-R's (which served me well and fine in the past).

I hope someone can help me here! I'd appreciate any kind of input - am i using the wrong software? Did i do something wrong when I installed the drive? Also...if this helps...I recently formatted my computer before installed the new drive.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

  2. Okay - now I just tried using anydvd with clonedvd and it stopped after about the same about of time in the burning process and says that it stopped due to a "bad medium" and that I should replace the medium...i have no idea what this means.
