  1. I recently bought a brand new Pioneer A06 with the latest firmware installed on it 1.07. I went out and bought this after I had numerous failures with trying to get my sony drua-500 to burn at 4x it would never do it. It stayed on 2x speed no matter what program I tried. Checking or unchecking dma. Every latest firmware upgrade. I have even tried new bus cables and switching the drives from master to slave. So I am thinking its just the frive it self so I go out and buy the A06. Install and run and same problem. I am lost and dont know what to do and all my computer friends dont know whats going on either. When I use Nero 6.0 It says it is writing at 4x but it takes 34 minutes for a 4x dvd-r to burn. It also does the same thing using record now max. If there is anyway anyone can help me I would greatly appreciatte it. I am thinking there is something wrong with my computer itself since none of my other friends are having this problem. I forgot to tell you I am running windows 2000 professional with all the proper updates and I have a P4 1.8 with 550 mhz front bus and 3/4 gig of ram. Any help is appreciatted
