  2. www.supermediastore.com

56 cents for their supermedia brand at 4x (100 pack). This is some good media.

Generally i find that shop4techs "deals" are higher than rima, supermediastore, and a few others.

  3. those Matrix disks from shop4tech work excellent in my NE/1300 drive. I also like the price. I tried some of those meritline digital matrix disks and they were coaster after coaster. I'd be concerned getting any 4x media for around .50 cents. I'm just sticking with what works for me for the time being.

  4. The Matrix discs that shop4tech carries have a higher success rate for me than even Ritek or TDK. I have no idea how a LONGTEN001 disc could be this amazing, but they just don't ever burn as a coaster. I ordered another 100 today for $69 shipped and credit the poster on here who goes by 'defense' for turning me onto the best media buy I've ever found.

  6. Never been able to burn a good LONGTEN001 disc. Two froze in my Sony burner right at the start. My Pioneer will burn them, but then they stutter in any player you try them on. The few that the burn seemed OK that I mailed out to customers came right back. If they work for you, more power to ya!

Cheaper media I've found is from yesbuy.net, Sky brand media. 200 pieces of 4X media only $110 shipped! Media code AN31 (OK) or AN32 (better), but once I got some that had the media code AML, which I sent back because they wouldn't burn.

I can say i've burned tons of the newer longtens, I would not call them high quality, I get some that need to be reburned often because I check everytime I use that brand. However the price is cheap. For my money I still pay the extra for Ritek so I dont have to worry about it.

I was able to pick them up today for $60 out the door, actually. Originally, there was only one unopened box on the shelf, so when the sales associate returned with an opened one, she gave me an extra 15% off. Initially, I examined the two spindles and the discs didn't have the typical dye. After I got home, I found out they were CD-Rs!!! So whoever returned them had swapped them. But luckily, they had another new box, which I was surprised I didn't get the first time. It was probably because the employee was holding it for themselves. Too bad.

  11. Well, there's something odd going on with LONGTEN media, and I'm not sure how it all works. I recently returned a pack of Sonic dvd-r with the LONGTEN code that would NOT recognize in my Panny E80 and burned with frequent errors in my Lite-On 440D. Under the recommendation of defense and because of that lengthy thread on Matrix discs, I ordered them as a replacement and they too came in with a LONGTEN code. But I've burned 16 or so with zero errors and pretty incredible DVDInfoPro results AND of all the media I've inserted into my E80, the Matrix dvd-r's are by a longshot the quickest to be 'read.'

I don't say this to talk anyone into them, but defense is right. There is something clearly different about the discs shop4tech is labelling 'Matrix' and I already prefer them to Ritek, which was my previous favorite media brand.

    Peace.

Go to Office Depot's website and look for the Imation 50-pack DVD+R, item number: 906913. I chose the +R since they are 4X capable, whereas the -R could only be 2X. If you have a local store, change it to a pick up, otherwise, there may be none available for delivery, add 2 to the cart. Then apply this coupon: 78479819 (buy 1, get 1 free), and either of these two coupons: 75284928, 88307050 ($20 off $75 purchase). This may or may not work since it supposedly excludes tech products. But I was able to use the 75284928 in conjunction and when I picked them up, I wasn't given any hassle with the pricing. YMMV.

  14. I have bought supermediastore's unbranded stuff before and have been VERY happy with it.

I believe that the media is on the main page.
