  1. There were no pure subtitle topic here so I try my luck in this DVD topic.

what I am facing here canīt be found in other topics around cause this is very strange and not normal.
I know how to add a subtitle and make it to work, done this with 2 movies already but this movie 28 Days Later is very different.

The added sub colors doesnīt match the original sub colors.
I have as like many others downloaded an SRT file then converted it with SRT2SUP to finally author with ifoedit. It doesnīt really matter I think what settings I have in SRT2SUP.
With this movie I have discoverd that:

    For original sub:
Color 0 = blank/nothing, guess this must be the background
    color 1 = also blank/nothing, I donīt know why
    Color 2 = outline
    Color 3 = character/letter
color 4 and below have no effect

    For the added sub:
    Color 0 = blank/nothing
    Color 1 = outline
    Color 2 = character/letter
    Color 3 = anti alias
color 4 and below have no effect

So how much sense does this make?...
When I change the color 2 then the added sub and the original sub will have the total oposite colors.

I was thinking maybe to rip the original subs convert them to srt and then re-start the process totally. Never done this before so I am quite uncertain.

  2. I don't know about SRT files, but you could always load in the IFO file from a disc where the colour is your preference into IFOedit, copy the subtitle colour and then paste it into the target IFO.

  3. sorry garry, but you must have misunderstood me.
as I know how to normally put in an extra subtitle and make it fully succesfully, I have used the copy paste function in ifoedit from the original file to the new authored file. I have done this way with two different movies and the colors were perfect for the original subs and also the new added sub.............. after I changed the first 4 colors.

But as how I carefully explained the colors are mixed up with this particular movie. The Color 2 doesnīt treat the same color area on the text for both the original and the added sub. Cus when I change the Color 2 to white the text for the original will have white outlines while for the added sub it will have white character.
