Ok, I've wanted to get a friend into Red vs Blue, but he doesn't have a computer, but he does have a DVD player, so VCD is the best option. I have all the LoRes videos plus extras in DivX5 video & PCM audio. They use left & right audio channels so people know who's talking sometimes.
Using the VCD & SVCD (video has a little problems converting to SVCD) layouts in TMPGEnc and using Stereo (no left), Joint-Stereo (no left), or Duel-Channel (no right) ALL seem to drop one channel of audio (on PC, TV, & Stereo). Unfortunately, MONO is not coming up as a selection. If I de-multiplex the audio, convert it to MONO, multiplex it back then encode them, it works, but obviously the audio become duel-mono.
Is there any reason this may be happeneing or is this normal? I'd rather not go through the tedious process of extracting audio, converting it, & replacing it on EVERY file.
I just don't have that kind of time.
Well, after playing around w/ TMPGEnc, I made a custom profile for the MONO audio from the standard VCD NTSC one & saved it. Now the problem I get is that the 'Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)' setting changes to just 'Full Screen' each time. Any ideas why that changes?
