  1. Hi there,

I've been trying to convert some MKV files with dual audio (Language) tracks to avi and am coming across a problem. When I do, selecting one track obviously the volume level is always much lower. So far I've tried AlltoAvi and Prism video and they both present the same issue. Can anyone point me to a converter that won't do this or what settings I should be using with my current converters?

    Many Thanks

What is the audio in the mkv? And to what are you converting? (identify using mediainfo if you don't know).

How about keeping it as ac3? You can do it in for example xmedia recode and avidemux. Choose copy under audio.

  5. VirtualDubMod can mux multiple AC3 audio streams into an AVI. It can't read MKV files though. You'll have to demux them with MkvExtracGui.
