Over in the hardware/recorders forum, there seem to be plenty of Wintel options mentioned for authoring a DVD-Video from files captured as DVD+VR, but is there a Mac equivalent? I know that Sizzle will create the proper directory structure, given VOB files, but how to I get from the one huge VRO file to the appropriately-formatted VOBs?

    Serbian,

it looks like you're the developer of the MPEG2WORKS program, but I can't find any useful info. Versiontracker has nothing on VRO conversion, and neither does your site. I'm not looking for an MPEG-2 *encoder* (as the hardware will to that), but mostly just an adequate file splitter.

  3. You can use "Demultiplex VOB/VR with AC3 sound" option in MPEG2Works to demultiplex Your .VRO file into video and audio track...

Or, use BBDemux if You know to work in Terminal...

Then use Sizzle or DVD Studio PRO to author Your DVD...I posted the links regarding VRO subject on this forum for You to take a look...In those posts the guy who posted them explaining what people should do with .VRO files to make them editable or ready for author...

Now I think I see the problem. Sizzle *won't* split a 4-GB file into 1-GB VOBs, and if I could afford DVD Studio Pro, well, then I'd be buying a DVD Recorder with a built-in hard drive, and removing the commercials BEFORE creating the DVD +VR. So, this does not appear to be a solution to my question.
