I've been encoding jpeg slideshows using the Microsoft MPEG4 V2 codec for a while now and naturally this is the codec that is used for playback as well. However before I re-formatted my HD several months ago I was able to use DIVX 5.05 as the playback codec. How can I set my DIVX codec to control these files again without uninstalling MPEG V2, and at the same time leave the door open should I need to change it back? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. Teegee420,

Not sure, but this might be what you're looking for. Certainly helped me when I needed to use DivX to play back XviD files.

  4. Ahh well....

I don't suppose that if you went into ffdshow proprties and disabled the MJPEG codec it would fall back on DivX to play it back, and once you were done you could re-enable the codec?

I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but that seems logical if a little novel.
