Hi,
I am trying to back up a badly scratched movie DVD (non-encrypted, single-layer). I had originally use the DVD Copy function in Nero 5.5.x (the latest version) on a DVD-RW media, but the result wasn't very good -- fast forwarding would cause playing to freeze up. So I am trying to use DVD Decryptor to create an ISO file on my HD, then burn onto a blank disc; but Decryptor seems to be VERY picky about the DVD media -- I keep getting I/O error messages (something about surface sensing error?), and the burning would halt.
Nero seems to be more forgiving about the type of blanks I can use; so is there a way to create an ISO file onto the HD using Decryptor, then use Nero 5.5.x to burn the image? Problem is, the last time I checked, Nero will not recognize the .iso/.mcd extensions.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Spiffy
