  1. all the movies i have ripped are 100% successfully. Except this one movie (chinese series 10 packs), i wasn't able to rip this movie. I've try to use DVDDecrypter, RecordMax, Nero and copying files(regular explorer - just drag the files over) directly to harddrive, but all say ERROR. All the files in dvd can ripped except VTS_91_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_02_0.IFO and VTS_02_0.VOB. this is where it gets error.

When i play this with PowerDVD and about a minute later, it froze for 30 seconds and then it works fine. also froze somewhere in the end of track. I think someone put a small thingy in there while you play the movie, it prevent you to rip on your computer and trick the computer.
This disc doesn't have any dirty on it & it is very clean & new. I can play on standalone dvd player and Xbox. So I decided to use Xbox to transfer files to my computer which work fine!

  2. Some guy said once that Chinese bootleggers damage the TableOfContent on DVD's so it plays on standalone but make problems in computer drives

  3. Sounds more like the media being incompatible/unreadable by your DVD-ROM drive.

If you have a DVD Burner fitted, did you try copying it with that ? , as these are often more tolerant .

  4. The original DVD itself is damaged.

It sucks, but there is nothing you can do but buy another one.
