NEC 2500A Question re: Media

I recently purchased the 2500A 8x drive from NEC. I've read on here in a couple of places that some folks have been able to get write speeds of up to 6x with the proper media. Question is....what media are you using? +R, I assume? Interested to know so I can start searching for the cheapest price. I'd be willing to pay a little more for the saved time.

Incidentally, the drive is SUPER! Much more reliable than my Sony-DRU-500AX that crapped out on me.

Verbatim 4x and The Ritek Overprints here both write @ 8x

(though it doesnt mention the 2500Nec drive, Verbatim 4x 4.7g DVD-R disc writes at 8x, but that is -) may be worth calling em over the 8x + media

Memorex 4X DVD+r from Best Buy are burning for me at 6x with no problems.
