    Hello,
I'm facing several problems since I installed ffmpegX. No encoding but some based on mencoder works. E.G. if I try to convert a .wma file to .mp3 file, nothing happens.

    look at the log file)

Encoding started on Fri Aug 1 12:04:12 CEST 2003
    Input #0, asf, from '/Users/jeanpaul/Desktop/On the web/burtbaccarach-TheFiveBlobs.wma':
    Stream #0.0: Audio: wmav2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 64 kb/s
    sh: line 1: 599 Bus error /Applications/Video/ffmpegX0.0.7c/ffmpegX.app//Contents/Resources/ffmpeg -i /Users/jeanpaul/Desktop/On\ the\ web/burtbaccarach-TheFiveBlobs.wma -y -vn -f mp2 -acodec mp3 -ab 128 -ar 48000 -ac 2 -map 0.1:0.0 -benchmark /Users/jeanpaul/Desktop/gg

Moreover, there are a lot of error messages in the terminal for "non existing files" or else.
It seems like there is a "connection" problem between ffmpeg and mplayer for example, because a friend of mine tried successfully an audiodump of the wma file with the command line.
The installation of ffmpex was "succesful" so I'm lost !

    Try two things.

First, the Quick Presets include an audio file to mp3 option.
    Use it. It should work.

Second, double check on the audio tab that the Invert Mapping button is ON, because it must be on for ffmpegx to convert an audio file before a video file (and since you have no video file, you want it to look at the audio file first).

The Quick Preset should set the invert mapping option for you.

    Good luck.
