  1. i've used ulead movie factory a few times to make my dvd movies, i've usually got the mpeg2 movie which i re-encode to mpeg1 so i can fit a couple of films on a dvd-r disc, however i have some avi files which are smaller than mpeg1 but they dont seem to burn, it just keeps saying no room on the dvd-r disc, it only uses 3.2gb of the 4.3gb, i dont understand, is it just not compatable with AVI?
I tried again last night, a brand new disc, and still the same messgae asking me to insert another disc as there is no room on the one burning.

    Please...anyone....help?

Not sure I followed you going from mpg2 to mpg1 to avi but:
Within MF-2 you need to set the project setting to something that will fit on the meadia and check the box "do not re-encode compliant dvd" IMHO
Ithink this is the setting MF-2 uses to pre-verify ouput will fit
