Hey guys,
Over the past few days, I realized thta my dvd library will only play in my dvd player in the house. I also needed them to play in the car for trips. The 1st couple i did with a Nec 1100 (well a HP 300 but it says 1100 right on the unit) and they worked. So i bought the 1300 bc of its dual format ability, and being a newbie not knowing about dvd-rom, book types, bit settings etc.
Sooo... all in all nec 1100 burns useable backups but the 1300 doesnt. I think its bc the 1100 burns +r's as dvd-rom by default and I cant make the 1300 do that.
--- Can I flash my 1300 with 1100 firmware to make it work, or do I need to just trade my 1300 for an 1100?
Please advise! I need to get this fixed the easiest way possible (IE firmware flash if possible).
Thanks!!

Although flashing the Nec1300 back to Nec1100 or HP300 would work but don't do it!
BronkwTech45 is about to release the bitsetting hack for the Nec1300.
