Hello,
I am getting ready to buy a laptop for running Mastercam and SolidWorks Cam/Cad stuff. I can only spend about $1100. What would you recommend? I pretty sure I want a i7. just not sure which video card to get and what laptop brand. Here is a couple I am looking at. What is the difference between the Intel Core i7 2620M & the Core i7-720QM Processors.

If your apps. require a workstation class video adapter, the Dell Precision series may fit your needs as they have Nvidia Quadro FX graphics adapters in them.

For cad/cam get the largest screen you can afford. The dells are only 15 inches. I would look at Sagar notebooks but some models cost more then your budget.
