I am trying to make SVCDs from VHS tapes and DV captured with a Dazzle DVC80. As it won't capture at the correct framesize I am trying to resize them with AviSynth so that CCE will handle them. I have tried all 3 types of resizing but the video is almost always jumpy (I had one short clip from the digital camcorder that was OK). Is there a way to solve this or do I need to look for a different capture card?

Ok I solved it. I stupidly thought that as I was capturing in small size I didn't have to deinterlace before I enlarged. Once I did that it worked better. It improved still more when I bought a card that could capture full size in YUV and resize without deinterlacing (did not work if capturedin RGB.
