  1. i burnt a few dvd+r and dvd-r, and all of them play nice in my home dvd player. however when i put on label (those from cd stomper) and try to make them look nicer, all of them now cannot be read from my player. is it a problem of my player? how can i resolve this problem?

  2. Must be your player so to check that out see if they will play in a friends player. I think if you soak the disc if warm clean dishwater for like an hour the label will come off.

    This has worked for me many times.
    If these are common paper lables.
    Place on a paper towel and SOAK the surface with wd-40.
    30 to 45 minutes later the label should easily lift off.
    Wash disk in warm soapy water to get rid of wd-40.
    Dry gently with a soft tissue.
    All should be right with the world.

    The problem is the label, it retain the heat produced by laser and produce a dilatation of tracks, and the DVD-Player canīt compensate the read.
    Remove tle label and you can read the DVD ok.
