  1. How can I burn MDF and PDI files on a mac panther + Toast 6? Or convert these files to IMG or ISO?

    Thanks,

im not familiar with mdf, but had some success playing pdi files once.

i decided to not deal with them, but I imagine if they are playable they are convertable to some degree.

    what exactly is mdf??

can you do anything with them on your mac?
try dropping them into VLC or Mplayer OSX what happens when you do?

Next time choose a more compatible format to save the image as with Alcohol. If Toast won't accept them in Disc Copy / Image File mode, Alcohol might be your only option to convert it to a more compatible format such as iso or bin or something. Alcohol's proprietary formats are only good for making windows think that real drives are mounted.

See this thread for info on PDI image conversion on the Mac. Still no clue about MDF.

It may relate to "MDS", if it was a typo.

Found this slang/jargon-filled link regarding how to use one of the PC-programs to generate MDS-files from PDI-files => to allow previewing the video before burning the pdi. EDIT: Irritating jargon aside, there are detailed screen-shots of the steps involved, appartently using a PC-only program called "dvddecrpyter".
