  1. hi

    i have a bunch of real media files that i want to see, but i dont want to do it in my computer...


    so i was wondering if there is a way to convert them to dvd, or mpg...


    i have try a lot of programs but no one seems to work...

    any ideas?

  2. or you could try TINRA (This Is Not Real Anymore).

    TINRA can convert Real files into normal .avi's with the codec of your choice. It only works in realtime (i.e. a half hour clip will take 30 mins to convert) - but it's a good program.

    If you're going to convert to (S)VCD or DVD, it's best not to make an avi that is too heavily compressed.

    I'd use HuffyUV to make your avi, and then encode that avi to an mpeg for (S)VCD or DVD. HuffyUV compresses the video a bit, but it's a lossless codec. You'll need a fair bit of discspace for the files it produces (thinking gigs not megs!)

    Once you've got your avi, there are many guides etc.. here on how to proceed.
