  1. I have been using TMPGEnc to merge files, but for some reason it adds a beep noise at the spot where they are joined.
Is there a good tool to use to merge mpgs?

Try Video Studio. I cannot recall ever hearing a beep where my mpegs were joined. I once made a video with several clips, and didn't get the beep where they were joined.

I have just finished off my collection of Transformers Armada from Cartoon network to DVD, and on some of the episodes were I removed the commercials, I also have the beep. It almost sounds like high pitched pop, as if the sound is out of sync with the previous segment. If anyone can help that would be kewllll.....

    Thanks

I've used this program for mpeg's and avi's and haven't heard any beep where the files are joined. It has a free download and trial if you'd like to check it out:
