  1. Why does it do this? I can see all other aspects of windows, but for some reason, I can't see any video. Is it on a different layer? Is there a way to get around this?

64 meg Radeon, if that helps. It's an HP.

    Help.

    Thanks in advance.

In the settings for my video card, when using dual display I have to set one to primary and one to secondary and the video shows on the primary. It has to do with the way video displays using 'overlay'. Also, other people may be able to help you better if you post what kind of video card you have or fill in the info in your profile.

  5. Easy peezey that is.

    Control panel>display properties>advanced>overlay tab.
    "Clone mode options"
Set to theatre mode, and or "same on all"

  6. i turned off overlays in media player, but i still can't get dvd to play in full screen, even when i extend my desktop to my tv.

on a different note, mpegs and all that work pretty well, maybe i should just convert all my dvds

    Are those widescreen dvds?

  9. yeah, they're widescreen.

i think it's the programmng though, it'll switch, change the video, display the toolbars, and then crash. oh well.

does anyone know of a windows media skin where the border around the video is like minimal to nonexistant?

also, in powerdvd, is there a way to change the overlay on that? i can get THAT to be in fullscreen, but can i see video? nooooo.
