I have had my movies transferred from 8mm to MiniDV. Some of the film has a vertical blue line in it. It looks like there must have been a scratch in the original film and miniDV wrote it as a blue line. Can I use some sort of filter in MediaStudio Pro to filter out the blue?

You could use the cropping tool in Ulead MediaStudio Pro to remove the blue line if the line is located somewhere near the edge of the frame.
If not, then you could use the rotoscope (VIDEO PAINT) program...

...in MediaStudio Pro to remove the blue line, but such a task would involve lots of work, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the tips. I don't think the cropping feature will work. It is a vertical 1/32" wide blue line almost in the center of the frame.
I had considered Paint, but like you said it would be a lot of work. With the backgrounds varying all thru the frames affected this would be tough. I guess I could treat it like the other scratches in the film which are fine black lines. They are not as noticeable. I could Paint the blue lines black?
