  1. OK, I have spent a fair amount of time reading up on the issue of A/V out of sync issues and have had some success fixing it. In general, I have found an offset that seems to work for my system. As I understand it, the splitting of the audio and video streams to two different places that are not in sync (ie: capture card vrs sound card) and have different clocks is the fundamental problem. My question is this, once you have found the "sweet spot" for you system, will it change? I found what seemed to work but later was slightly off again. I don't mean later in the video. Sometimes I find myself concentrating too much on the sync and am not really sure if there is a problem or not but it seems that there is. Also, are there capture cards out there that handle the sound on board which would seemingly eliminate the problem?

If you don't change something, this offset remains the same.

Those issues are countless as countless are the solutions for them. Strange things happens all the time, but what I saw the last year in practice, is that the built-in audio of all the latest motherboards, if used as a line in, give the less possible issues! A year ago, it was just the opposite, a PCI audio card was a must back then. But now, no.
Of cource, you have to search to download the latest audio drives of your motherboard for best results, but don't we do the same for all our hardware?
