  1. Hmmm I have a movie and I wanna make a backup(with menus and stuff intact), using shrink its easy to just compress a little percentage and remove audio streams not used, the problem is......

if I go into the menu of the DVD created I can still pick things like 'Directors commentary' and the movie plays but with no audio, i.e. its playing nothing because I ripped the directors commentary.

    So how can I...............

    a) Prevent those options from being selected???

    b) maybe have it so no matter what is selected only the DD5.1 track is played.

  4. hmmmm

thanks mod, I kinda got the idea what this tool and I def. will use it.

I was able to prevent the buttons for Audio menu being reached and extras on the said DVD, but i noticed I could still press 'Audio' button on my DVD player and it moves between audio streams even though they aint thier, so how do i remove all references to these streams???

Im thinking I have to load up vts0_01_0 of my DVD and strip the vobs of these using the VOB Extras button on IFO_EDIT96 ???

any help appreciated, hopefully theirs a simpler way to rip???

are you shrinking the DVD or is it a DVD5?

if you are shrinking it, just use the shrinking program to remove the audio

if not, you can strip the stream with Ifoedit using VOB EXTRAS but it may remap the streams
you can either remap the streams back to the original or get it to play the desired stream no matter which audio is selected

    choice is yours

rather than write a guide have a read through 2COOL's audio remapping thread HERE

once you try it a few times you will get used to it, if tiy dont just say

    cheers

p.s. don't forget the same thing happens with subs

it's the only one I know and it does it great

the free version you are using is limited but the registered version gives you preview which shows you the menu as it is and also allows you to mod extra groups of buttons
