  1. Here is my story....

I use Maxell dvd-rs. Work great in my burner, old player and new player. My buddy uses the exact same media as I do. His however, do not work in my old player, but do in my new one. Today i go to put them into my burner, and my burner does not read them, in fact my pc crashes and I get an error saying windows detected a problem and has shut down to prevent damage from being done to my computer, and it will not reboot until I take the disc out.

What can possibly be the problem??

  2. It´s common for 2 DVD´s with same brand to be different.

If you check the serial number in the inside ring of each disc you´ll msot probably find out that they´re different.

  3. I understand that and already checked that out, but that are identical discs. And today, those discs play fine in my burner after doing nothing but crashing it last night
