  1. can i rip one of my region 1 dvds and burn to a dvdr and it will play on my region 2 player?

    In theory, IF you ripp a Region 1 NTSC DVD, change the region code to support 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, Your Region 2 PAL DVD player should allow NTSC input to the PAL playback (output).

    Unlike the consumers in North America (NTSC), many PAL DVD players allows the NTSC colour scheme to be converted on the fly. the limitations is the Region Header. After you rip it to your hard drive, use IfoEdit to change the Region 1 (value 254) to either value (0 or value 64). Or you can look at a Region 2 DVD that currently is accepted and plays and just plug in the same value in VIDEO_TS.IFO file.
