  1. It came free with my dvd-ram drive. There are essentially no reviews of it in the tools section.

Anybody have any comments on it? I just don't want to waste my time learning how to use it if it's junk.

    Thanks.

I have DVDit! PE, and it's the only authoring program I use now. The important features for me are its ability to encode Dolby Digital soundtracks, and to import menus created in Photoshop. It can create 4:3 and 16x9 DVDs, as well as the ubiquitous VCD. It can also create a DVD using mpeg-1 files (I fit the complete Thundarr the Barbarian series on 2 DVD-R's this way).

  3. Tried DVDit. Runs slow on my Pentium III 935 mhz system. Worst problemis that there is no on screen feedback indicating progress of sequences, only the hour glass. Is there a setting to overcome this.
