Hi guys, last night I read the DVD Pro 1.5 manual and proceeded to put together a disk.

I used 6 pairs of M2V and AC3 files, and make six buttons in photoshop. I made one track for ever pair of M2V and AC3 files. Everything seems to be linked up fine.

The problem I am having is in the preview mode, I am not able to advance (fast forward) or go to the next track.

What am I missing? I looked extensively through the remote buttons.. but could not figure it out.

Do I have to actually add markers to the tracks? One at the end of each track?

Click on the bare background so you can edit the disc settings. Check the very last property and make sure that time searching is enabled.

I did that.. and still nothing..

In the matrix mode.. I see lines going back and forth to the various tracks but they are grey/black.. no blue? I think blue is for remote?

you can't hit next on the remote to jump to the next track in preview (as far as i know), you could however add a chapter marker as close to the end of the each track as possible, then have the jump when finished option be the next track you want to jump to, a few extra steps, but very easy to do.

Okay.. I did a test run and built the disc.. was able to fast forward and reverse but not go to next track. In each track, when I hit fast forward, the only thing would happen is in the view would display Chapter 1 .. in either track I tried it....

So I guess it is markers I need?

Maybe if you click on each track you made, and set the popup menu that specifies what to play once the track is done to play the one following it, and back to the menu for the last one.

I've built a disk with jumps set up for each consecutive track.. still nothing when you press next track on remote. It will go back to the begining of the track.. but simply not to the next forward track.. I am baffled.

In the main disc menu.. under Remote Control there are these options:

    Not set
    Main Menu
    Track 1
    Track 2 etc..

Just for fun.. i built a disc setting the track button to main menu.. again nothing.. I don't get it.. HELP

In matrix mode, do the arrows go from menu, to track 1, to track 2, to track 3, etc., and back to menu from the last track? If not, then you need to make sure you set the individual tracks you made to play the following one when done (it's one of the popup menus in the inspector when a track is selected). Make sure that's set for each track, and the matrix view shows arrows going the way you would like it to play. As for the remote control settings, just set menu to the menu, and title to the first track, and the rest I always leave as default. It should automatically know what to do when you select the next/previous track and other options. If after all this, you can't get it to work like you want when you hit the 'next track' button on the remote, try setting the remote control for each track (if you can do that, I'm a little hazy on DVDSP 1.5, as I've been using 2.0 for a while) to play the following track for the 'next chapter' button, and the previous one for the 'previous chapter' button. Hope that made sense, else I could elaborate. First try to get the matrix view so that arrows go from menu to track 1, to all successive tracks, and back to the menu, and see how that works out.

Well actually I did not fix it.. DVD SP 2.0 in preview has >| and >>| .

Now here is what is going on..In remove menus.. I have checked enable all..

If I press on remote simulator

    |< or |<< it will go to begining of track
    >| will go to next track
    >>| nothing Log says user pressed change track and that's it.. seems like a dead link.

I've had enough abuse for one night.. going to bed
