  1. I have used dvd shrink to decrypt movie "road to perdition" and then as usual drag my VIDEO_TS folder into recordnow to burn to dvd+r. I have usually had no problems burning but when I try on this movie a window pops up saying "job terminated with errors"

I have tried burning with nero, the disc does burn successfully but the resulting disc doesn't play on my standalone dvd player.
Had problems with nero in the past which is why I use recordnow.
Is the problem perhaps with my burning software and can anyone suggest the best software to use?

  2. It sounds like maybe a bad rip. Could the disk be scratched? I have had this happen before. Try ripping with dvd decrypter first and then shrink. I have sucessfully made a backup of this movie using same method.
    Good luck,
    Alan

Did you use the dvd-video template in nero ?
    It always works for me.

  4. Nickmeister, could you check in RecordNow option to see if "Recognize VIDEO_TS folder ..... standard...", or similar wording, is checked. My guess is yours is, while similar option in Nero is not. If so, that explains why RecordNow couldn't burn while Nero could, though not playable. That option checks for video folder compliance, and it might be telling RecordNow that your project size was larger than it actually was. If that's the case InfoEdit could help. Don't ask me why, but here's the how: Load your folder in InfoEdit and click on the Disc Image button near the bottom right. Answer YES ro OK to everything except the CREATE Image window, at which point you click cancel. Done. Trying burn the same folder again.

As usual backup before you try the InfoEdit route. Good luck.
