  1. When i change my divx into mpeg1 format why does the size double? How can i copy a 1.35gb movie onto a cd thats only 700MB big??? I could really use your help....

    You could split the file and put it on two cds...
    One cd is impossible here!

    The size doubles because mpeg4 (divx) compresses much better than mpeg1 (vcd.) If divx couldnt achieve such small filesizes then what would be the point of using it? Vcds hold 74 mins of video on a regular cdr and 80 mins on an 80 min cdr, period. This means a typical movie will use 2 cdrs. Either split your divx file first and then encode each half separately or encode first and then split your mpg. Either way just click on the EDIT link and read the cutting guides.
