    Dear Guys,

I would like to hear from all / any of you, what would be the best capture window size, for we capture, to get the best SVCD file. Sefy, told me once, that as much of information we can give to a encoder, as much of capture window size, as better results we would get. But, unfortunately, what I have get, is videos with a lot of big squares. "Unfortunately", this doesnīt happen while I am ripping a DVD, I donīt understand why.

That is another variable in what I am doing lately. I just learned, that we can use The TMPGEnc, to try to fit a video, bigger then 700Mb, in a 700Mb Cd. I havenīt seen what it does yet. If it reduces the bitrate, but what still donīt know, is in all those conditions, what would be the best capture window size, for I get the best results.

    Sinc.,

    J.J.

  2. Quality depends on your Source and your Target, if your source is high quality and your target ends up being poor quality, then what is your target ?

For some people (like myself) VideoCD is great quality and very satisfactory for my viewing pleasure, for others it is an abumination. If you are encoding to RealMovie or Low Quality DivX, you can't expect high results either
