  1. PowerDVD v.7 always opens in a relatively small window (777 x 524 here). You can then maximise it to full screen or drag a corner to get any other size. Is there a setting that's so far eluded me which will ensure it stays that size when it next runs please?

    I don't think so. I believe the only option you have is "Open In fullscreen". Here is the manual...

    Nero Showtime is the same except that it does open 720 or 1280 files as wide as your monitor and not in a 777x524 window. Would be nice if both programs could maximize the video window like MPC does.
