  1. I am burning an avi file to VCD. The video source is ready. I've frame served it in VirtualDub, and its ready for TMPGEnc.

I have extracted the audio in VirtualDub as a Wav file. What do I do with this audio? What should I convert it to and what is the best (easiest) program to use? How many Hz should it be?
Or shall I just use the Wav. audio in TMPGEnc and multiplex that???

Unless you are going to make some non-standard VCD, save yourself a step and load both the audio AND the video streams from the frameserver into TMPGEnc -- It will automagically detect both streams for you. Let it encode to mp2 @ 44Hz (for VCD).

The only time I extract the audio to a wav file and encode separately, is when I'm going to do ac3 audio for my DVD's
