  1. I have an mpeg that's 905MB. I would like to burn it as svcd or vcd. Would I convert it and then split it so it will go on two discs or do I have to split it first?

What program will covert it and which will split it?

    thanks

MPEGs are a pain to split, as I've yet to find an application that relieably and consistently can perform this trick. If you have to reencode, you're better off encoding in 2 passes, using Source Range (TMPGEnc).

  3. or buy some 90min or 99min cdr... this just might fit on a 90 min cdr and would def fit on a 99min cdr. Splitting mpeg is a pain, quite often even tmpgenc wont work.

  4. A lot of people seem to reckon that Womble MPEG-VCR can do decent job of splitting MPEGs - more reliable than TMPGEnc in terms of creating A/V sync issues etc..

I've never tried it... just passing the info on!

  8. thanks for all the help. I know I've seen a tutorial on tmpgenc but can't find it at the moment.
BTW how can I tell if it's mpeg1? The properties just say "Movie file (mpeg)".
